I had wanted to review the mitzvahs to see how many of them actually cost money (a donation or tzedakah) and how many were just my time. I also tried to calculate how many took under 5 minutes of time.
So after reviewing the first 104 mitzvahs, here are the results. Only 24 of them actually [...]

Today I reached my first 100 mitzvahs. I am very happy that this coincided with the date of my dad’s birthday. I felt that he would be thrilled to know that my project is in full swing at this time. Also, I know he would be happy to see how many things I have already [...]

Today I have mitzvahs that I did, one for my daughter and her friend and finally one I witnessed which moved me to tears.

95) Found out it was our principal’s birthday. Gave a belated birthday card and [...]

91) Update from my Friday, March 13th entry. Last week I had sent a thank you note to for the florescent light recycling project. I received a call Saturday night from the woman who received it. It turns out that she was not the right person and that there was another person in the synagogue [...]

90) Today, I surprised my elderly neighbor and dropped in for a visit.

85) Gave a D’var Torah – a brief commentary on that week’s Torah reading – this week at synagogue. This week would have been my father’s 71st birthday and I felt I wanted to do this as a tribute to him, it was both cleansing for me and something I am glad I decided to [...]
Awareness and Attitude

This mitzvah project seems to be teaching me many things, including forgiveness, awareness of our environment, and to be more grateful. Also, that when we slow down a little we are able to enjoy our lives more and have more time to give to others.
I never imagined this would be the case, but I am [...]

74) Asked a friend if she knew anyone who could use some children’s clothing that I was planning to donate. She took them for someone she had in mind.
75) Donated large unused toy that my son had never opened to our school auction.
76) Was asked to get a special donation item for the auction, procured [...]
Donate in honor of various occasions

73) Donated money to their synagogue in honor of a friends wedding. My blog entry for Monday, February 19th has many other ideas of tzedakah (charity) in honor of different simchas (happy occasions).
