About a week ago, I received an email from a colleague whose 10 year old daughter was diagnosed with Epilepsy last month. My daughter is 9 and the girls met a while back at a company meeting. Kaitlyn decided that she wanted to raise $10,000 and was going to be a virtual walker in the upcoming 1st ever National Walk for Epilepsy being held on March 31, 2007 in Washington, DC. The funds will go to fight stigma, raise awareness and find a cure for epilepsy.
Kaitlyn is truly an inspiration and I wanted to share her story and her amazing and informative website for those that might want to do a mitzvah and help her reach her goal.
Her website is www.katiebug.info. In addition you can make a donation for the walk at www.walkforepilepsy.org.
