Today, I received my Ziv Tzedakah annual report and read it cover to cover. If you have read my About this Blog page perhaps you have visited their website. One of my original goals from my 1000 mitzvahs was to raise $10,000 from my mitzvah project to donate to this incredible charity. I want to hit this goal because the work that this charity is doing is unbelievable. The people that benefit from our donations are literally changing the world one mitzvah at a time. They are all doing such important work. There are people who work with animals, ones that help with food, ones that help seniors, disabled. The list goes on and on. If you haven’t visited the website to learn more about some of these charities, I urge you to do so. It will lift your heart and I promise you will feel that there truly are mitzvah heros around our world.

Also, I learned about the Giraffe Project an organization dedicated to discovering people who stick their necks out for the common good. If you are a parent or teacher perhaps you will be interested in the curriculum available from this non profit – it’s awesome.
