$9 and many smiles

thermometer

Yesterday, I got to play Santa Claus and for a nice Jewish girl that is not a role I get to play often!

As the thermometer soared over 90 in the Pacific Northwest, I filled my cooler with close to 100 popsicles purchased from the local grocery store for under $10. When I arrived at camp after a long hot day, I offered each counselor a cool refreshing treat. This simple gesture was so easy  to do and yet the amount of gratitude I received from the staff was immeasurable. I can’t wait until the next hot day (should be either tomorrow or next week) because I plan to do this one again.

Are your kids attending a camp where you could bring some popsicles at the end of their day. Try it. I bet you will enjoy the smiles and gratitude this simple action creates!
