Making Paper Fortune Tellers

Today, my son is home sick. It has been a regular occurrence this fall and in the new year we are going to do some more investigating into the potential reasons for this. A few months ago, I wrote a post on Portland Family Monthly about enjoying these days off with our kids and appreciating that time. Isn’t it funny how sometimes we need to take our own advice. I asked my son to play on his own, listen to his tapes and read so I could get some “work” done. What that turned into was answering a couple of calls and reading my email before I actually got any work done. After lunch, we made paper fortune tellers.  What simple  fun. Apparently, I am going to have many friends and die poor but very happy.  Amen to that.
